Data Code for DC was a community-run open data portal for civic technology and public-interest projects in the DC region. Running on the CKAN platform, it was separate from the official DC government open data site, data.dc.gov, and was designed to support civic hacking and community collaboration. It hosted more than 500 datasets across categories ranging from transportation to public safety and included both government data and community-contributed datasets.
