We’re bridging this gap with a tool that:
A contractor finder tool was identified as one of the top three barriers to residential decarbonization. Civic Tech DC’s open-source solution will empower similar efforts nationwide - making it easier, faster, and more affordable for people to begin their electrification journey. DMV-based, but designed to be open source and replicable across the country.
Electrify DC, Building Innovation Hub, Go Electric DMV, and several DMV-area jurisdictions and professional associations.
Electrify DMV partnered with jurisdictions across the region and asked Civic Tech DC to lead on data, design, and technical implementation. The Result: a user-friendly tool designed with local impact and national scalability in mind. Everyone is welcome, no matter your skill level or background. We especially need help with:
